Day Thirteen

We went down to Brugge today to ride the track on our road bikes. It’s a 333 meter outdoor track, with a really silky smooth surface. We had a lot of fun doing a couple mock races.
Afterwards we went to the city itself. Established in Medieval times Brugge is preserved, pristine, and most importantly a great place to get great food. The team had a sort of unhealthy day eating chocolate, waffles, ice cream and frites. I would say, however, this was well deserved after three days of racing.

it helped me though on that ride, I just couldn't come around my leadout man at rudgear, that was the only problem

Glad you got to Brugge and explored that cool town. Did you have enough snap left in your legs after the velodrome to climb those steps up to the top of the Belfort to see the city and that amazing belfry / carillon up there? Hope so. You are missed back here. Adam is organizing a Mt. Tam ride this week. See you soon. Lance

GREAT reports. I've been checking up on Mr. Carolus, what an animal. Sounds like riding in close proximity and holding your position are everything. Throw in narrow, bumpy, windy, rainy conditions. Ugh, getting tired thinking about it !

Keep up the great work !
